Ingredients
3 Tbs chia seeds
3 Tbs hemp seeds
3 Tbs flaxseeds
1/4 cup raw sunflower seeds, unsalted (optional)
1/4 cup raw pumpkin seeds, unsalted (optional)
Directions
  1. Stir together the chia seeds, hemp seeds and flaxseeds. A tablespoon of this mixture can be added to baked goods or smoothies. It can also be stirred into jams or condiments to spread on toast or sandwiches.
  2. Add the sunflower seeds and pumpkin seeds to the mixture to use it as a topping for yogurt, salads, oatmeal or cereal.
  3. Roughly chop the mixture to use as a topping on muffins or homemade bread. Additionally, grind the mixture in a food processor to a flour consistency.
  4. Add 1 to 2 tablespoons to baked goods or sauces to add nutritional value. It can also be mixed with breadcrumbs for coating chicken.
  5. Place seed mixture in an airtight container.
  6. Store in the refrigerator for up to two months or in the freezer for up to six months.
